The votes have been cast and the reviews are in, congratulations to our grand prize winner, the “Close B4 U Doze” video created by North Carolina fire departments Greenville Fire/Rescue, Rocky Mount Fire Department and Wilson Fire/Rescue Services who will receive $25,000 for local fire safety education in the region!

The runner-up has received a $15,000 donation, and two videos tied for third place with the fire departments receiving $10,000:

All qualifying submissions will be published on, and the public vote will determine the top eight. Entrants will receive information about how the public voting process works, links to assets you can use to help promote your video (e.g. social copy, graphics, etc.), and a unique link to your video so you can share and solicit votes. A panel of UL representatives will select the winners from among the top eight.
Winners will receive a donation in their name to their favorite fire department or fire department of their choosing.
  • Winner – $25,000
  • Runner-up – $15,000
  • 2nd runner-up – $10,000
Plus five additional entrants will be recognized with an honorable mention and a $5,000 donation to their favorite fire department.
Individuals receive one vote per person during the contest period, Sept. 3 through Sept. 15, with voting closing at 6 p.m. EDT that day. You may vote for multiple entries, however are allowed only one vote per video entry.
